TUAH and ‘Raikan Perpaduan’ unveiled as the face of Malaysia 2027

2026-07-13

Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari launched the logo, mascot and theme at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, on 13 July 2026.

On 13 July 2026 Malaysia unveiled the official logo, mascot and theme for the 34th SEA Games and 14th ASEAN Para Games. The ceremony at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, was officiated by Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari, with MASOC as host. The mascot is TUAH — a modern, approachable hero figure. The name points to success earned through effort. Two official versions were published: SEA Games TUAH and ASEAN Para Games TUAH. The theme is Raikan Perpaduan / Celebrating Unity, chosen to put regional togetherness at the centre of the look. The mark itself is built from familiar pieces: the letter M for Malaysia, an athlete in motion, the number 27, the hibiscus, Jalur Gemilang colours, and eleven graphic parts for the eleven ASEAN nations. A public design competition in late 2025 preceded the launch, with a first prize of RM8,000. From this point the identity is no longer a contest brief. It is the face of tickets, volunteer shirts, broadcast graphics and the ceremony stages in Kuching and Bukit Jalil.
