UKAS photographs show the Sarawak desk’s one-year countdown briefing, a mall gathering with TUAH, and the lectern in front of the state and national flags.
The Sarawak local organising desk marked one year to the 34th SEA Games with a public briefing in front of a wall that reads “One Year Countdown to SEA Games 2027”. Officials in LOC Sarawak jackets took questions from the press, with the official mascot TUAH beside the lockup. Unit Komunikasi Awam Sarawak (UKAS) issued the photographs.
The same set shows a mall gathering where officials and volunteers hold Malaysia 2027 posters next to TUAH, an official speaking at a lectern in front of the Sarawak flag and Jalur Gemilang, and a stage presentation of a glass award with a ribboned document. The screen behind that presentation is only partly in frame, so this report does not name the people or the document.
UKAS dated the one-year briefing 17 September 2026 under the headline “One Year To SEA Games 2027, Sarawak Ramps Up Preparations”. The Sarawak desk has also published headlines on venue readiness, hotel accommodation in place of a sports village, the Games as a sports legacy, selection of athletes on merit, governance and integrity, and early coordination for the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games.
