The 2027 medals weave textile geometry with navigational motifs — a tribute to the region’s trade winds and shared heritage. Design teams collaborated with craft communities so the edge profiles echo songket and songket-inspired geometry without copying protected motifs. Packaging uses recycled pulp trays printed with cluster icons for Sarawak, Penang, Johor and KL.
