Event confirmation meeting for the 34th SEA Games

MASOC, OCM and the National Sports Council met national sports associations from 17 to 19 August 2026 to set events and technical details for Malaysia 2027.

The Malaysia SEA Games Organising Committee (MASOC) 2027 secretariat, together with the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) and the National Sports Council (NSC), held the 34th SEA Games event confirmation meeting with the national sports associations involved. The three-day meeting, from 17 to 19 August 2026, was an important platform to coordinate and discuss the event list and the technical side of competition as part of Malaysia’s preparation for the 34th SEA Games, Malaysia 2027. Also present were Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali, Secretary-General of the Olympic Council of Malaysia; Datuk Abdul Rashid Yaakub, Chief Executive Officer of MASOC 2027; and Datu Hii Chang Kee, Deputy State Secretary of Sarawak (Operations), together with representatives of OCM, the national sports associations, NSC and the MASOC secretariat. Close cooperation among all stakeholders is important so that planning, coordination and delivery of the Games can be carried out in an orderly way.
